Backyard picnic

Home, cookout on deck, 1465 Fairfax, Birmingham, Michigan
Grilled beef tenderloin, twice-baked potato with sour cream, French green beans with shallots and bacon, cucumber salad with onions and dill, tomatoes/mozzarella/basil in balsamic vinaigrette, corn on the cob with butter, Perrier, Nestea Iced Tea. Not shown: Cherry crumb pie with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream.
5:18pm

During the meal, a deck board underneath one leg of my chair gave way, I tipped over (in cartoon slow motion) and knocked over a chiminea on my way down. This was quite exciting for everyone. Janice grabbed my camera and snapped a picture of me still sitting in my chair.

Vegetables and dip

Eatting my lunch off the passenger's side floor of the car, somewhere on Interstate 75 headed south to Cleveland to see friends in Tin Huey perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
Cut broccoli, celery, cauliflower, cucumber and dip, a bunch of mixed olives (olives not show), Driscoll's (the finest berries in the world) still-on-the-stem red raspberries, and Diet Coke. All food purchased as carryout from Papa Joe's Market, 34244 Woodward Avenue, Birmingham, Michigan,
4:31 pm

Other stuff on the floor includes the materials I was still working on to assemble a set (49) of laminated Tin Huey pins to commemorate Tin Huey's appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. You can own your own complete set of 49 unique Tin Huey pins by bidding on them now on eBay.

Today's lunch sponsored by Mark C. Thomas, attorney at law, Coon Rapids, Iowa, and friend since childhood. Mark acheived this lunch sponsorship privledge by paying for the most recent 6-months rent on the Fluxus Indian Museum mailbox in the Coon Rapids post office. Mark's only request was that I eat a salad. Mark lives with his wife Jacci and daughter Nellie on a farm northeast of Coon Rapids...out on the Green County Line road. There is a bridge on this road that local kids have used as a quarter mile drag marker for years. I recently hit this mark at a 108 miles per hour driving a Mercedes CLK AMG 55.
